“Did you hear anything about snow?” Nicole asked while staring at the ceiling that turned slowly above the bed. Barry kissed her on the neck and said, “You smell good.”

She looked at him and touched his face and rolled on top of him, she rested her head on his shoulder and asked, “Is this relationship going to go beyond the physical?”

Barry tilted his head back and said, “That sounds like something I would ask.”

Nicole looked at him as she leaned up. Barry looked at her and asked, “What?” What are you grinning at?”

“What do you want to do?”

“Well I was thinking…” She cut him off and said, “You know what I’m asking.”

He kissed her on the chest and as the subway rumbled under the building he shook his head and closed his eyes. “How can you live above that damn thing?”

Nicole slid out of bed and walked over to the bathroom door. “It’s cheap and besides, I find the noise relaxing.” Just as she walked into the bathroom, another train rumbled. Barry covered his ears and grinned. Nicole peeped out of the bathroom and gestured. “Are you coming to join me?” Barry walked in and took a deep breath when he saw Nicole under the hot water. He stepped in and grabbed her by the waist and asked, “Are you nervous?”

“About what?”

Barry ran his hands through her wet hair and pulled on her hair and kissed her. He broke from the kiss and stared at her and smiled. “Taking the exam. You’ve got a lot of pressure on your shoulders.

“Pressure like?” Nicole asked as she wrapped her legs around his waist and grabbed on his neck. He pushed her against the wall and kissed on her neck and then moved to her lips. He looked her in the eyes and took a deep breath. She closed her eyes and moaned and asked between moans, “Pressure like what?”

Barry grabbed her hair with both hands and as her body slid up and down the wet walls he tried to answer her. “Being—a role model.”

She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him on the lips and said, “No.” She ran her hands up and down his back and grunted, “I don’t think of myself as a role model.”

Barry grabbed her by the ass and pulled her to him. She pulled on his hair and said, “If you stop I’ll shoot you.”
